- Actually, I was making a statement. I know you didn't see that, but I was
- commenting on PLNelson's constant foolish "Groaner's stupid .sig deleted by
- popular demand."
-
- If you don't think I know what poetry is, read:
-
- You may not like it. You may think it sucks, but it's "got the form right."
-
- Now I _am_ going to run someone over with Martha (1979 Plymouth Volare).
-
- As to knowing what poetry is...90% of the posts in rec.arts.poems aren't
- poetry, they're verbal vomit. The other 10% _might_ be worth reading. What
- people allow to be called "poetry" these days pretty much is terrible
- overall. There is no truth, no bite, no _craft_ in it any more. All you
- need is a pencil, typewriter, and a healthy distaste for grammar and
- capitalization. Bang, zoom, you're a poet.

- "Poetry"
-
- I scream out into the blackened waste for poets,
- For the Truth that was.
-
- I slash about me,
- Killing the dread filth that errs.
-
- As I stand, bloody knife in hand,
- I see the bloody dawn and tear my bloody shirt.
-
- Stand with me or under me.
